dc.description.abstractThis article examines the processes of participation of children living in the Bajau Laut sea gypsies community in daily life activities. The subject of the study, the Bajau Laut, is one of the last sea nomadic communities. This research is planned as a case study which is one of the qualitative research methods. The data of this research were collected through observation, photographing and researcher diary in a one month period in the context of the research. In the Bajau Laut sea gypsies community, children appear to be involved in livelihoods from an early age and adapt to the ecological contexts of children's livelihoods and playgrounds. This cohesion between the community's livelihood activities, children's games and contexts reveals that children in the cultural community determine their development and learning nicheen_US
