dc.description.abstractBu makale, Soğuk Savaş sonrası dönemde Türk-Yunan ilişkilerini özetlemeyi ve bu bağlamda özellikle Ege sorununu tartışmayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, Soğuk Savaş öncesi ve sonrası döneme ilişkin iki ülke arası ilişkilerin genel bir özeti ile başlamakta, bunu izleyerek spesifik olarak Ege sorununa odaklanmaktadır. Bu sorun kapsamında yer alan alt sorunlar ve tarafların çelişen iddiaları detaylı bir biçimde tartışılmaktadır. Sonuçta Ege sorununun, Türk-Yunan ilişkilerindeki diğer sorunlar gibi, tarihsel travmalardan kaynaklanan derin güvensizlikle ilintili olduğu, bu yüzden uyuşmazlık çözümü için iki ülke arası güven tesis etmenin gerekli olduğu vurgulanmaktadır
dc.description.abstractThis article aims to summarize the Turkish-Greek relations in the postCold War era, addressing and discussing the Aegean issue in particular, in this respect. The study starts with a brief summary of the two countries’ pre and postCold War relations, followed by a particular focus on the Aegean issue. Specific problems within the Aegean issue and the parties’ contending positions are discussed in detail. In the end, it is stressed that the Aegean issue, like other issues in the Turkish-Greek relations, is strongly related to lack of trust, resulting from mutual historic traumas, and thus confidence building measures are needed for conflict resolution process
