The research tends to explore and examines the concept andexistence of ‘Glass Ceiling in Pakistan’. It is the barrier that restrictswomen reaching the top-level management regardless of theircapabilities, skills, qualifications, and experiences. The deprived aregenerally the minorities or most certainly the women of Pakistan. Therole of women has been emerging at a rapid pace in Pakistan as morewomen are getting awareness and education about their rights. Thisperception leads to a contradiction of whether gender discriminationactually exists or is it just a perception leading in the minds. Theprimary data has been collected through several interviews from menand women at the senior level positions to get a greater idea about theconcept, and thematic analysis was used to analyse the data. Theconcept mediates between gender stereotypes, discrimination, andmisconceptions. This research is based on the Glass Ceiling inPakistan. It is carried out in the different sectors of Pakistan throughin-depth interviews. Due to time constraints, only eight interviews areconducted which includes seven females and a male respondent. Therefore, in future more male respondents would be added in theresearch to get a more precise picture of the scenario. The studysuggests many practical implications on the issue such asimplementing strict policies in organisations, providing women withequal opportunities, and women to prove themselves for the positionsthey deserve.
