Öğe Sosyal medya tutumu ile sosyal görünüş kaygısı ve kişilik özellikleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi(Çağ Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü, 2020) Sarsu, MustafaThe aim of this study is to examine the relationship between social media attitudes and social appearance anxiety and personality traits of individuals between the ages of 20-44 who are social media users. The study sample consists of 294 females and 139 males, totally 433 individuals participating in the survey study. According to our research results; Instagram has been the most used social media tool by individuals. Participants reported that they spend an average of 2 to 3 hours a day on social media. Measurement tools used in research; It consists of personal information form, social media attitude scale, social appearance anxiety scale, Big Five Person Inventory (BBKE). In our study, T test and Anova test were applied and besides descriptive analysis, correlation and regression analysis were included. As a result of the correlation analysis, it was observed that there was a significant relationship between individuals' social media attitudes and social appearance concerns and personality traits. There is a significant correlation between the social appearance concerns of the participants and the need for sharing, social isolation and social competence levels. In addition, there is a significant relationship between individuals' social appearance anxiety and personality traits. As a result of the regression analysis, personality traits of individuals affect their social media attitudes at a low level. Social media attitudes of individuals have a predictive effect on social appearance anxiety. In addition, it was observed that personality traits of individuals have a predictive effect on social appearance anxiety.
