In this respect, by the yearly data of all tourism companies that are quoted on Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) and hotel and restaurants sector balance sheets that prepared by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) analysis is employed for 2002–2010. As a result of the analysis that average duration of the cash conversion cycle of hotel and restaurants sector was negative. Also average duration of the cash conversion cycle of three ISE tourism companies determined was negative. Again, as a result of study that determined the duration of the inventory turnover has greater effect than duration of receivables turnover on length cash conversion cycle in Turkish tourism sector. Bu bağlamda hisse senetleri İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası (İMKB)’nda işlem gören turizm şirketleri ile Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası tarafından hazırlanan otel ve lokantalar sektör bilançolarının 2002–2010 yılları arasındaki yıllık verileri üzerinden analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda otel ve lokantalar sektörünün nakit dönüşüm süresi ortalamada negatif çıkmıştır. İMKB Turizm şirketlerinde ise üç şirketin nakit dönüşüm süreleri ortalamada negatif çıkmıştır. Yine çalışma neticesinde Türk turizm sektöründe nakit dönüşüm süresinin uzunluğuna stok devir süresinin, alacak devir süresinden daha fazla etki ettiği belirlenmiştir.
