Özet
Bu makalede; genel olarak jeopolitiğin anlamı, tarihçesi ve teorileri özetlendikten sonra, Türkiye’nin jeopolitik önemi vurgulanmıştır. Jeopolitik görüş ve teoriler, Sanayi Devrindeki (1950 sonlarına kadar) ve Bilgi Çağındaki teorileri içerecek şekilde ele alınmıştır. Avrupa Birliğine giriş sürecinde Türkiye’nin karşılaştığı ve karşılaşabileceği sorunlar jeopolitik ilminin nüfus unsuru açısından irdelenmiştir
In this article, first the meaning of history and theories of geopolitics are summarized, secondly the importance of geopolitics is stated. Geopolitics is a study or application of the influence of political and economics geography on the national and international power and foreign policy of a state. Geopolitics theories and ideas are studied including the industrial period (until the end of 1950s) and the information era. In the process of entering the European Union, the problems with which Turkey has been faced and will face in the future have been examined in the framework of population of geopolitics science.
