Özet
Turist rehberleri turistin ilk karşılaştığı ve ülke hakkındaki ilk izlenimleri aldığı turizm profesyonelleridir. Mesleğin kalitesini yükseltmek için Türkiye’de fakülte ve yüksekokul düzeyinde eğitim verilmektedir. Son yıllarda turist rehberliği bölümlerinin sayılarında artış görülmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı; Turist rehberlerinin birikiminde olması gereken temel konuları belirlemek ve eğitimde fark yaratacak yeni bilgi alanlarını saptamaktır. Bu amaçla, Türkiye’de lisans düzeyinde eğitim veren turist rehberliği bölümlerinin mevcut ders programları ile Avrupa Birliği ülkelerindeki turist rehberliği eğitim programları incelenmiştir. Alan yazın ve içerik analizi birlikte sunulmuştur. Sonuç olarak; Türkiye’de yeni açılacak turist rehberliği lisans bölümlerinin tercih edilebileceği yeni ve güncel ders konuları belirlenmiş, öneriler geliştirilmiştir
Tourist guides are one of the tourism professionals that the tourists take first encounter and first impressions about the country. To improve the quality of profession, guidance education has begun at the level of faculties and college in Turkey. The aim of this study is to determine the absolute basic course topics and to identify new areas of knowledge that can make a difference. The existing tourist guide training programs of undergraduate level in Turkey and training programs in European Union countries are examined. Literature and content analysis are presented together. As a result; new and updated lessons are identified and recommendations are developed
