Özet
Bu çalışmada üniversite öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet tutumları ile özgüven ve kişilik özellikleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet tutumları ile özgüven ve kişilik özelliklerinin cinsiyet, gelir düzeyi, yaşamının çoğunu geçirdiği yer, anne eğitim durumu, baba eğitim durumu, eğitim gördüğü fakülte değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim döneminde Çukurova Üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 348 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama araçları olarak Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği, Cervantes Kişilik Ölçeği, Özgüven Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutumları ile özgüven düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönlü bir ilişki olduğu, toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin tutumları ile kişilik özellikleri arasında anlamlı ilişki olduğu bulgularına ulaşılmıştır. Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri tutumları cinsiyet ve ailenin aylık gelirine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin eşitlikçi tutumlarının ve özgüvenlerinin yüksek düzeyde olduğu; öğrencilerin dışa dönük ve tutarlı oldukları, nörotik kişiliklerinin dengeli kişilere göre nispeten daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between social gender aroles and self-esteem and personality traits of university students. In addition to this, it's examined that whether the social gender attitudes, self-confidence and personality traits of the students displayed any significant differences according to their gender, their level of income, place where their life is spent, education level of the mother and the father, faculty and class variables. The sample of the study consistsed of 348 students studying at Çukurova University in 2018-2019 academic year. SocialGender Roles Attitude Scale, Cervantes Personality Scale, Self-Confidence Scale and Personal Information Form were used as data collection tools. Results showed that there was a positive relationship between students' social gender roles attitude and the level of self-confidence and, there was a significant relationship between social gender roles attitudes and personality traits. Social gender roles attitudes displays considerable differences according to the gender and family income. It was found that the students' egalitarian attitudes on gender roles and self-confidence were at high levels; the students were extroverted and consistent, and their neurotic personalities were relatively higher than those of individuals with balanced personalities.
