Özet
Canlıların yaşamlarını sürdürmek ve refah seviyelerini yükseltmek için doğal kaynakları tükettiği alanların toplamından oluşan çevrede meydana gelen olumsuz sonuçlar, insanlarda doğal kaynakların yok olabileceği hakkında çevre bilincinin oluşmasını sağlamıştır. İnsanlar, oluşan çevre bilinci doğrultusunda, doğaya zarar vermeyen ürünleri tercih etmeye başlamış ve bu durum, mamul ve hizmet üretimi yapan işletmeleri çevreye duyarlı olmaya yöneltmiştir. Çevreye duyarlı olan işletmelerin de, çevre ile ilgili olarak oluşan tüm maliyetleri muhasebeleştirme işlemlerinde dikkate alarak, muhasebe fonksiyonlarını yerine getirmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sosyal sorumluluk kavramını dikkate alan işletmeler tarafından uygulanması gereken çevre muhasebesi konusu incelenmiş ve vaka çalışması yöntemi kullanılarak, işletmelerde uygulanması gereken çevre muhasebesi sistemi gösterilmiştir
Adverse results which happen in environment that consists of total spaces which living creatures consume natural resources in order to survive and enhance their welfare, provided environmental consciousness about depletion of natural resources in human beings. Humans, through environmental consciousness, began to choose goods that do not damage the nature and this turned businesses that produce goods and services toward being sensitive to environment. Businesses that are sensitive to environment need to fulfill accounting functions by considering all costs which occur regarding environment in accounting transactions. In this study, it was examined environmental accounting that must be applied by businesses that consider social responsibility and it was demonstrated environmental accounting system which must be applied in businesses, by being used case study method
