Özet
Bu çalışma öğrencilerin şarkılar aracılığı ile nasıl kelime öğrendiklerini ve öğrencilerin şarkılarla kelime öğrenimine nasıl tepki verdiklerini de bulmayı hedeflemiştir. Çalışma ekimden nisana kadar yedi aylık bir süreci kapsamaktadır. Çalışma Antakya'da Mehmet Fehmi Çankaya ilkokulunda ikici sınıf öğrencileri ile yapılmıştır. Çalışma 26 öğrenci üzerinde yapılmıştır. Her bir ayda öğrencilere bir şarkı öğretilmiştir. Çalışma öğretmen günlüğü olarak gözlemlere ve röportajlara dayalı nitel bir çalışmadır. Öğrencilerin şarkıları sevip şarkılar yoluyla rahatlıkla kelime öğrendikleri bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin kendilerini motive olmuş hissettiği eğlenceli bir çalışma idi. Aynı zamanda öğrencilerin öğrendikleri kelimeleri hatırlayabildikleri saptanmıştır.
This study aims to find out how the students can learn vocabulary through the songs and how the students respond to learning vocabulary through songs. It takes seven months from October to April. The study took place in Mehmet Fehmi Çankaya Primary School with secondary students in Antakya. The study was conducted on 26 students. The students were taught a song each month. This study is a qualitative study based on observations as a teacher diary and interviews. It was found out that the students like the songs and they could easily learn the vocabulary through the songs. It was an amusing study that the students felt motivated. It was also found out that the students could remember the words they had learned.
