Orhan Pamuk’un “Yeni Hayat” ile haruki murakami’nin “imkânsızın şarkısı” eserlerinin sürrealizm açısından karşılaştırılması

Özet
Bu çalışmada sürrealizm akımının edebiyat ve sanat üzerindeki etkisi farklı kültürlerden gelen Orhan Pamuk’un Yeni Hayat (1994) ve Haruki Murakami'nin Norvei no Mori (İmkânsızın Şarkısı) (1987) eserlerinde incelenmiş ve analiz edilmiştir. Bu analizler doğrultusunda sürrealizmin edebiyat ve sanat alanındaki etkisi araştırılmış tezimize konu olan Yeni Hayat ve İmkânsızın Şarkısı eserlerinden yola çıkarak sürrealizmin edebiyatta ve sanatta ne anlama geldiği, ne tür özellikler taşıdığı, neden kullanıldığı, ne tür sonuçlar doğurduğu tez üzerinde uygulamalı olarak ele alınmıştır. Eserlerinin incelenmesi esnasında: akla karşı olma; bilinçaltını esas kabul etme, otomatik yazı, mizah / ironi, harikuladelik, rüya / hayal, çılgınlık, çocukluğa dönüş, dil ve üslûp; kaçış / arayış, ölüm, cinsellik maddelerindeki sürrealist unsurlar detaylı bir şekilde araştırılmış ve bulgular ortaya konulmuştur. Bu iki roman, metin karşılaştırmalarını ele alan karşılaştırmalı edebiyat kuramı ve eleştirisi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Türk ve Japon kültürlerinden gelen iki yazarın birer romanının sürrealizm açısından karşılaştırılması elde edilen bulgular ve bu bulguların diğer sanat ve edebiyat alanlarına uygulanabilirliği açısından önemlidir. Burada ortaya konulan bulgular, dünya edebiyatının önde gelen yazarlarından Orhan Pamuk’un ve Haruki Murakami’nin eserlerinde sürrealist unsurları kullanma aşamalarının anlaşılmasına yardımcı olacaktır. Ayrıca bu çalışmanın karşılaştırmalı edebiyat çalışmalarına katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir.
In this study, the influence of the surrealist movement on literature and art has been examined and analyzed through The New Life (1994) by Orhan Pamuk and The Song of Impossible (1987) by Haruki Murakami, two works from different cultural backgrounds. Based on these analyses, the impact of surrealism on literature and art has been explored, and the meaning, characteristics, purpose, and outcomes of surrealism in these fields have been discussed through a practical application on the novels The New Life and The Song of Impossible, which constitute the subject of this thesis. During the examination of these works, surrealist elements such as: opposition to reason, the primacy of the subconscious, automatic writing, humor/irony, the marvelous, dreams/imagination, madness, return to childhood, language and style, escape/search, death and sexuality have been thoroughly researched and the findings have been presented. These two novels have been analyzed using the methodology of comparative literature theory and criticism, focusing on textual comparisons. The comparison of novels written by two authors from Turkish and Japanese cultures in terms of surrealism is significant in terms of the findings obtained and their applicability to other fields of literature and art. The findings presented here will help to understand how surrealist elements are employed in the works of Orhan Pamuk and Haruki Murakami, two prominent authors of world literature. Furthermore, this study is expected to contribute to the field of comparative literature.
