Özet
Stratejik konulardan birisi de, çevrenin kirletilmesine karşın dünya çapında topyekûn olarak çareler
bulma çalışmalarıdır. Çevre sorunları arttıkça 20nci yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren çevre ve çevre hakkının
önemi anlaşılmıştır. Çevre sorunları dünyanın geleceği ile çok yakından ilgilidir. Çevre sorunları başta insan
olmak üzere tüm canlıları ve cansızları içeren ekosistemin, biyolojik çeşitliliğin ve organizmaların yaşamını
olumsuz etkilemektedir.
Benzer sorunlar sadece dünyayı, kıtaları, ülkeleri ve bölgeleri değil, Türkiye’nin Çukurova Bölgesini
ve özellikle Tarsus’u da etkilemektedir. Tarsus’ta çevre sorunları ile ilgili uygulamalı bir çalışma Çevre Hakkı
ve Çevresel Etki Değerlendirmesi (ÇED) esasları çerçevesinde yapılmıştır. ÇED hazırlanmasına rağmen
kurulacak “Endüstriyel Katı Atık Bertaraf Tesisi” halkın itirazı üzerine yetkili makam olan Çevre ve Şehircilik
Bakanlığınca iptal edilmiştir. Konuya ait çalışmada bölgedeki yetkililerle anket çalışması yapılmış olup,
halkın itirazının haklı olduğu sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır
One of the strategic subjects is to find perfect remedies against environmental dirtiness in the world. As the more environmental problems have increased, the more importance of environment and environmental rights have arose after the second half of the 20th century. Environmental issues are closely tied with the future of Earth. First of all environmental problems threat human beings including animals and lifelesses existence of ecosystem, biodiversity and organisms. Similar problems are not only dealing with earth, continents, countries and regions, but also have effected in Çukurova and particularly around the Tarsus area. Environmental dirtiness problems dealing with Tarsus were examined in the frame of the “Environmental Rights” and “Environmental Impact Assesment Regulations”. Even the ÇED-EIA Report had been prepared for about this facility, “The Industrial Solid Waste Discarding Facility” had been rejected by the Ministry of Environment, because of the objection of the vicinity people. In this study, a questionnaire had been conducted by the interested in the dignitary of the vicinity and attained the result as the community was right in their objections and rejections
